Inaugural Life Science and Healthcare Innovation Summit

The Summit brought together 160 leading thinkers and doers to discuss the innovations and technologies driving cutting edge science in the healthcare, medicine, and life science industries.

PAIB Member Martin Taylor Makes Major Gift to UT Austin

UT Austin President Jay Hartzell, Martin Taylor and Emmanuel Williams

In 2022, Martin Taylor committed a gift to The University of Texas at Austin to benefit students in programs across the university. Taylor’s contribution includes the largest investment ever made to support UT’s Heman Sweatt Center for Black Males, a faculty-led academic initiative to promote academic excellence.

Former PAIB Member Kendra Scott Launches Institute

UT Austin and Kendra Scott have established the Kendra Scott Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (WEL) Institute, which begins offering a variety of courses, workshops, a summit event and pitch competition in 2020. The objective of the Institute is to empower women to lead in whatever area of business or profession they pursue.

In collaboration with the UT College to Career Office, members of PAIB and their networks connect with students through special events that offer ample time for lively conversation. The Innovation Board has also worked with UT to improve the employer experience, providing guidance that helps the university better engage with companies seeking out UT talent.
