Members of the International Board of Advisors gather on campus and around the world to explore, develop and support UT’s global education, research and engagement efforts.

The University of Texas at Austin’s International Board of Advisors provides advice, support and direction to the University’s president and leaders, strengthens and enhances UT’s global visibility, and supports its aspiration to become the world’s highest-impact public research university.

The IBA comprises a diverse group of dedicated alumni and friends who are strategic thinkers, creative problem-solvers, subject experts and philanthropists from varied professional backgrounds, each with the vision of expanding UT’s international reach and bringing more of the world to UT.

In their roles as advisors, ambassadors and philanthropists, IBA members advance the University’s mission by leveraging connections, building networks for University programs abroad, providing philanthropic support and engaging with faculty, students, alumni and other interested individuals and organizations in their regions.

IBA members focus their efforts in UT’s research focus areas of Health and Well-Being, Energy and Environment, and Technology and Society. Here, members use VR to pilot cars with assistance from Texas Robotics students and faculty
