UT and Breyer Capital (PAIB Member and Founder & CEO, Jim Breyer) hosted the 4th Annual Life Science and Healthcare Innovation Summit in March 2026. The Innovation Summit brings together leaders from industry and academia to showcase the breakthroughs that will shape the future of healthcare and life sciences.

PAIB Member Martin Taylor Makes Major Gift to UT Austin

In 2022, Martin Taylor committed a gift to The University of Texas at Austin to benefit students in programs across the University. Taylor’s contribution includes the largest investment ever made to support UT’s Heman Sweatt Center for Black Males, a faculty-led academic initiative to promote academic excellence.

Former PAIB Member Kendra Scott Launches Institute

UT and Kendra Scott established the Kendra Scott Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (WEL) Institute, which began offering a variety of courses, workshops, a summit event and pitch competition in 2020. The objective of the Institute is to empower women to lead in whatever area of business or profession they pursue.

In collaboration with the UT Career Success Office, members of PAIB and their networks connected with students through special events that offered ample time for lively conversation. The Innovation Board has also worked with UT to improve the employer experience, providing guidance that helps the University better engage with companies seeking out UT talent.
